Michael James "Mike" Wasko (born June 9, 1964 in Bayonne , New Jersey ) is a former American bobsleigh athlete .
Wasko studied at Fairleigh Dickinson University and was also active in athletics , sprint and hurdles. Because of his achievements, he was appointed to the US bobsleigh team. With this he took part in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary . With the driver Brent Rushlaw and the pushers Hal Hoye and Bill White , he finished fourth in the four-man bobsleigh. In the same year he was named Sportsman of the Year by the US Bobsleigh Association.
After the end of his active career Wasko worked as a teacher and school principal in New Hampshire and New Jersey .
