Brent Donald Rushlaw (born September 16, 1951 in Saranac Lake , New York ) is a retired American bobsleigh athlete .

Rushlaw first took part in the 1976 Winter Olympics. In the two-man bobsleigh with John Proctor he reached 19th place in Innsbruck . A year later he became the American champion in the two-man bobsleigh. At the 1978 World Bobsleigh Championship , he finished tenth in the two-man bobsleigh. At his second Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid in 1980 , he was again active in the two-man bobsleigh. With his colleague Joe Tyler , he finished sixth. Four years later, in 1984 in Sarajevo , Rushlaw finished 15th in the two-man bobsleigh with James Tyler . In the four-man bobsleigh with Ed Card , James Tyler and Frank Hansen , he reached 16th place. In 1988 he took part in the Winter Olympics for the fourth time . In Calgary he competed in the two-man and four-man bobsleigh. He broke off the two-man bobsleigh competition with his colleague Mike Aljoe after the third run. In the four-man bobsleigh, the team with Hal Hoye , Mike Wasko and Bill White missed the podium by 0.02 seconds and finished fourth.

After the end of his playing career, Rushlaw worked as a cook in Saranac Lake.
