Richard Fields "Dick" Nalley (born January 24, 1955 in Indianapolis , Indiana , † August 28, 2002 there ) was an American bobsleigh athlete .

Nalley graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 1977 after having been active in football and athletics . Among other things, he was able to win several championship titles in the sprint over 100 meters and 200 meters. Thanks to the combination of strength and speed, he was able to bench press several times at regional championships. From 1980 to 1984 he was a member of the US bobsleigh team. With this he took part in the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid . In the two-man bobsleigh, he finished 5th together with Howard Siler ; in the four-man bobsleigh with Jeff Jost , Siler and Joe Tyler he was 13.

After the end of his active career, Nalley founded his own gym in Indianapolis, which he ran for 23 years. He also worked as a firefighter for 16 years.

Nalley was inducted into the University of Indianapolis' Hall of Fame of Sports in 1992.
