The Mikkelsen Peak is 420 m (according to Australian data 443 m ) the highest peak of the Scullin Monolith on the coast of the East Antarctic Mac-Robertson Land . It is 6 km west of Torlyn Mountain .
Now known as the Scullin monolith rock formation has been mapped January-February 1931 by Norwegian whalers, who by Klarius Mikkelsen (* 1887), captain of the whaling ship Torlyn as Klarius Mikkelsenfjell named. This name was retained in its current form for the object described here.
