Mikko Kurvinen (born March 11, 1979 in Anjalankoski ) is a former Finnish ice hockey player who was active for many years at the HIFK Helsinki in the Liiga and with this 2011 Finnish champion .

Career

Mikko Kurvinen began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of AaKoo , for whose senior team he was active from 1995 to 1999 in the third-class Suomi-sarja . The defender then moved to HIFK Helsinki , for whose professional team he was on the ice for seven years in the SM-liiga , the highest Finnish league. For the 2006/07 season he joined the Mora IK from the Swedish Elitserien . With his team he rose in the following season to the HockeyAllsvenskan , but switched to MODO Hockey himself for the 2008/09 season within the Elitserien .

In summer 2009 Kurvinen returned to HIFK Helsinki in the SM-liiga. With the capital club he won the Finnish championship title in the 2010/11 season .

He ended his career in autumn 2013.
