Mikko Rantaniva (born March 31, 1974 in Äänekoski ) is a Finnish actor and singer.

Life

After finishing school, Mikko Rantaniva studied for four years at the Tampereen Yliopiston Näyttelijäntyön Laitos, an acting school in Tampere , Finland . Since then he has worked as an actor and director at the Tampere Municipal Theater.

His roles included Tony in the West Side Story production and Nicholas Nickleby in the eponymous production. In addition to the theater, Rantaniva also played in various television productions, such as the comedy "Jurismia!" With.

Mikko Rantaniva was married for four years to the actress Maria Lund , whom he met in February 2004 during rehearsals for the musical West Side Story . The couple married on July 4, 2005, but filed for divorce on July 1, 2009 after almost 4 years of marriage. On December 12, 2012, Mikko Rantaniva married his close family friend Sara. The couple already have two children together.
