Miklós Küzmics (also: Mikloš Küzmič , Nikolaus Küzmitsch ; born September 15, 1737 in Dolnji Slaveči ; † April 11, 1804 in Kančevci) was a Slovenian translator and Catholic priest in Hungary . Küzmics was the dean of the Übermur area and Vendvidék and teaching inspector of the schools belonging to the Slovenian provost (Miklós Küzmics is just a namesake of István Küzmics and not a relative). Miklós Küzmics wrote the first bilingual textbook for the Hungarian Slovenes: ABC knizsica na narodni soul haszek , which he translated from German into Hungarian and Slovenian. This little book, which contained the first Slovene-Hungarian dictionary, was published in Buda in 1790 . In 1804 his translation of the Gospel into the Slovene language ( Prekmurian ) appeared.
