Mikuláš Huba (actor)

Mikuláš Huba (born October 19, 1919 in Spišská Nová Ves , Czechoslovakia ; † October 12, 1986 in Bratislava , Czechoslovakia) was a Slovak actor .

Life

After graduating from high school, he originally moved to Bratislava to study philosophy and law. Instead, he decided from 1937 to 1940 to study acting with Janko Borodáč at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava . Already during his student days he found work at the Slovak National Theater from 1938 , to which he remained loyal in various functions until his death in 1986. He was artistic director of the theater from 1953 to 1959, from 1961 to 1963 and from 1972 to 1976.

Huba died on October 12, 1986 at the age of 66 as a result of a heart attack . He was buried in the Slávičie údolie cemetery. Until his death he was married to the opera singer Mária Kišonová-Hubová . Their son is the actor Martin Huba .
