The Slávičie údolie ( Slovak Cintorín Slávičie údolie , literally "Nightingale Valley Cemetery") is a cemetery in the Slovak capital Bratislava , in the Karlova Ves district . It is located on Staré grunty street, by the Slovak TV buildings and the dormitories of the Comenius University and Technical University . The street of the same name, Slávičie údolie, is located in the Staré Mesto district (Old Town).

The Slávičie údolie cemetery was founded in 1912 and initially served the poorer sections of the population. Soldiers were also buried here during the First World War . Today the 18.5 hectare cemetery is the largest in Bratislava and the final resting place for leading Slovak artists, scientists, athletes and politicians.

To this day, burials take place in the Slávičie údolie cemetery.
