Milan Sesan

Milan P. Sesan (born April 5, 1910 , † June 7, 1981 ) was a Romanian Orthodox theologian , church historian and university professor .

Life

After attending a preparatory seminar, Sesan studied Orthodox theology and church history . With a thesis on the beginnings of the Orthodox Church in Romania, he was a PhD . He later received a teaching position for church history at the Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu and completed his habilitation at the local theological institute. In particular, he worked on a theology of symbols in the Romanian Orthodox Church.

Sesan was one of the founders of the Christian Peace Conference (CFK), at whose second pre-conference in 1959 in Prague he took part. Since then he has worked regularly at the All-Christian Peace Assemblies (ACFV) organized by the CFK and was elected in their committee to continue the work.
