Miletus (son of Apollo)
Miletus ( ancient Greek Μίλητος Miletus ) is in Greek mythology, a son of Apollo and Areia, daughter of Cretan Kleochos. According to other sources, his mother was Deione or the Minos daughter Akakallis . Both King Minos and his brother Sarpedon courted the young man. Since he chose Sarpedon and became his Eromenos , they were expelled from the island. Sarpedon then went to Lycia and Miletus to Caria . There he slew Asterios, son of Anax, and founded the city of Miletus . He is the father of Byblis and Kaunos .
