Miljenko Mumlek (born November 21, 1972 in Varaždin ) is a Croatian football player .

Career

Mumlek started his career at NK Varteks in Croatia. For a long time he was the team's leading player. With his shape, so did the whole team. His appearance in the Cup Winners' Cup was splendid when he scored the decisive goals against Heerenveen to reach the quarter-finals. By may also was Dinamo Zagreb Alert and signed him for the season 2001/02. Due to various injuries, however, he was never really able to assert himself there, as he spent 75% of his time there under medical treatment. So he switched back to Varteks to get back to his old form. After he finally got over his low and was able to prove himself again, he became a topic of conversation at the Belgian club Standard Liège . For the 2002/03 season he also moved to this club. When his contract expired in 2005, he stayed without a club, but kept fit with NK Varteks. He wanted to oblige him again, but there was still residual debt from the club towards the player, so he decided to switch to competitor NK Slaven Belupo during the winter break of 2005/06 . Miljenko Mumlek completed eight international matches for the Croatian national soccer team and scored one goal.
