NK Slaven Belupo is a Croatian football club from the city of Koprivnica in northern Croatia .
history
The first football club in Koprivnica was founded in 1907 by students. From 1912 to 1926 the club appeared under the name NK Slaven and was then the only football club in town. Due to financial problems he had to stop playing for several years before it was resumed in 1945.
From 1992 the association was called NK Slaven Bilokalnik after its sponsor, the Bilokalnik company . The Croatian pharmaceutical company Belupo became the new main sponsor and namesake in 1994. Since then, the club's colors have been blue, white and red.
Since 1997 the club has played in the highest Croatian football league, the 1st HNL . The municipal stadium ( Gradski Stadion ), in which he plays his games, holds a good 3,100 seats. In 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 Slaven Belupo qualified for the UEFA Cup , in 2009/2010 and 2012/2013 for the UEFA Europa League .
