The Lake Mille Lacs is a lake in Minnesota , which is characterized by its abundance of fish. In winter it freezes over reliably and is accessible from December onwards. There are even houses for ice fishermen set up. At 536 km², the lake is the second largest inland lake in Minnesota. Father Hennepin State Park and Mille Lacs Kathio State Park are on its shores . Neighboring communities are Garrison, Isle, Malmo Township, Vineland, Wahkon, Wealthwood Township in Mille Lacs County , Aitkin County and Crow Wing County .
