The Miller Spur is an icy rock spur in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . On the Ruppert coast , it extends from Mount Giles in a north-easterly direction. It ends in the form of a small cliff 1.5 km west of the lower section of the Hull Glacier .
Participants of the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered and photographed it during an overflight on December 18, 1940. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after Linwood Thomas Miller (1893–1961), participant in the second Antarctic expedition ( 1933–1935) by the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd .
