Milnes Island is an island in the Biscoe Islands archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 3 km north of Woolpack Island .

It was mapped during the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after the able seaman Arthur R. Milnes of the Royal Navy , who was a member of the British Hydrographic Surveying Unit in the Biscoe Islands from 1956 to 1957 and from 1957 to 1958.
