Woolpack Island is a narrow and 2.5 km long island off the Graham coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the Biscoe Islands archipelago , it is 6 km northeast of Vieugué Island on the west side of the Grandidier Canal .
The island was discovered and named in August 1935 during the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The exact naming background is unclear.
