Miloš Glonek (born September 26, 1968 in Zlaté Moravce , Czechoslovakia , now Slovakia ) is a former Slovak football player .
Club career
Glonek started playing football at a club in his hometown, but at the age of sixteen he moved to Spartak Trnava . In 1986 he won his first title with the Czechoslovak Cup . In the same year he moved to Slovan Bratislava and thus to one of the most important clubs in the country. Nevertheless, the team initially failed to win a title, but only made it to the cup final in 1989, which was lost. In 1992 and thus in the year before the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, they managed to win the championship title. In the same year Glonek used the now open borders in Europe and moved to Italy for AC Ancona , where he was a regular player, as before in Bratislava. In 1993, he went with the team from the Serie A from. In the following year, however, they made it to the cup final, where they lost 1: 6 to Sampdoria Genoa . In the same year Glonek moved to the French club SM Caen , with whom he also had to be relegated from the first division in 1995 . The direct resurgence succeeded, which was followed in 1997 by direct relegation. Glonek went back to his home country in the same year and signed with his ex-club Slovan Bratislava. In 1998 he returned to Caen, where he played in the second division for three years . There he ended his career in 2001 because he was no longer able to cope with the competition , including Franck Dumas .
National team
Glonek began his career for the Czechoslovakia national team when he played on November 13, 1991 in a 2-1 defeat by Spain . His thirteenth and last game for Czechoslovakia, which was politically dissolved on January 1, 1993, he played on June 2, 1993 in a 5-2 win against Romania . He then played another twelve games for Slovakia between 1994 and 1996. He didn't get a hit for either selection.
