Milo Qirko

Milo Qirko was an Albanian politician from the Labor Party of Albania who was Albania's Minister of Communications between 1962 and 1974.

Life

In 1961, Qirko was First Vice Minister for Communication. At the 4th party congress (February 13 to February 20, 1961) he was also a candidate for the Central Committee (CC) of the Labor Party of Albania ( Partia e Punës e Shqipërisë , PPSh).

On July 16, 1962, Qirko succeeded Tonin Jakova as communications minister in the third government of Prime Minister Mehmet Shehu . He held this office until October 30, 1974 and was then replaced by Luan Babameto .

On September 10, 1966 he was elected for the first time for the Party of Labor of Albania PPSh as a member of the People's Assembly ( Kuvendi Popullor ) , to which he belonged from the sixth to the eighth legislative period on February 21, 1978. At the 5th party congress (November 1 to November 8, 1966) he finally became a member of the Central Committee of the PPSh.
