Milos ( Greek Μήλος ( f. Sg. ) Unofficially Plaka Πλάκα) is a village on the Greek island of the same name and the administrative seat of the municipality of Milos. It is located inland at an altitude of 200 m above sea level. d. M., a little more than three kilometers northwest of the port of Adamas . The place itself has 749 inhabitants (as of 2011) and, with nine settlements and several uninhabited islands, forms the municipality's largest community with an area of 89.505 km².
The site is believed to be in the same location as the Acropolis of the island's ancient capital. There is a small museum and a church from the 10th century.
