history
The Mustangs were founded in 1993 and started in the AFL in 1994. In their franchise history, the Mustangs had an impressive average of 13,900 spectators per home game, even though they only reached the playoffs four times and they never made it past the quarter-finals.
The first season in 1994 was disastrous, in which all games were lost and thus in the end there were no wins and twelve defeats.
After the 2001 season, also due to the decline in viewers, the franchise was dissolved.
Milwaukee was to get another AFL franchise in 2010, namely the Milwaukee Iron . After just one season, the franchise changed its name back to Milwaukee Mustangs to make the franchise more popular and profitable, based on the Mustangs from 1994 to 2001.
