Minelli (civil Luisa Ionela Luca , also Luisa Luca ) is a Romanian singer and songwriter .

Career

From 2006 to 2009 Minelli was a member of the Romanian girl group Wassabi as Luisa Luca . After the band broke up, she was mainly active as a songwriter and composed, for example, for Mandinga ( Sufletul Zambea , Dame ), Horia Brenicu ( Inima nu Vrea ) or Markus Schulz . Only in 2013 did she make a comeback as a musician. As Minelli she was with Follow Your Instinct on song Portilla de bobo of LoL Deejays involved. This reached number 52 in the French single charts and thus her first chart position as a solo artist. Further singing contributions in Romanian and English language songs followed. Also in 2013 released the single Daca Strig with her band MoJo .

The single Love on Repeat released at the end of August 2016 together with Dave Ramone was the first of their singles to hit the German music charts. After two weeks, however, the song was excluded from the charts for four weeks because of suspected manipulation of download sales by the Federal Music Industry Association . After checking and confirming the allegations, the single was banned from the charts for another four weeks.

In September 2016 she also released "My Mind", a single that she wrote and produced together with the Romanian DJ Vanotek .

In May 2017 she was signed by Global Records and Ultra Music. Her first solo single, Empty Spaces , was released by Ultra Music in September 2017 and reached more than 6 million views on YouTube. In 17 territories the song reached top 10 positions on the iTunes and Shazam charts.
