The Minimata Bango Dam (also Hasdeo Bango Dam ) is located on the middle reaches of the Hasdeo , a left tributary of the Mahanadi , 30 km north-northwest of the city of Korba in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh .

The dam was completed in 1990. The dam consists of two dam structures: a 1370 m long earth embankment dam and a 725 m long weight dam ( Bango dam ). The reservoir covers an area of ​​up to 18.5 km².

The dam is used to irrigate the agricultural areas in the downstream districts of Korba and Janjgir-Champa . Furthermore, a hydropower plant with 3 units of 40 MW each generates electricity.
