Minke Booij
Minke Gertine Booij (born January 24, 1977 in Zaanstad ) is a Dutch hockey player who has completed over 150 international matches since her debut in the Dutch national hockey team on September 9, 1998. Minke Booij is a defender and plays for HC Den Bosch in the Hoofdklasse .
Booij won the bronze medal with the Dutch national hockey team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens . At the 2006 Women's World Field Hockey Championship , she was the national team captain and became world champion. In the same year she was recognized as a world hockey player. She won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympics .
She was also voted best player after the 2005/2006 season. In the Hoofd class she was eleven times (1998 to 2008) Dutch champion with HC Den Bosch.
