Minushuman is a French metal band that was founded in 1997 in Bergerac under the name Dark Poetry .

history

The band was founded in 1997 under the name Dark Poetry by Kromstadt (vocals), Mickael Desmarle (electric bass), Gaspard Jeanty Ruard (drums) and Thomas Billerey (electric guitar). Together they recorded a few demos over the years and also a self-produced album. They also performed with bands like Gojira , Samael , Loudblast , Crematory and Adagio . In 2007, Lionel Bouyroux joined the band as a second guitarist. Since the musical direction of the band would have changed significantly, the band decided to rename itself Minushuman.

The band recorded their first album, Watch the World Die , in 2008. The French Conkrete Studio album was mixed and mastered . The album was released without any label support. This made the label Season of Mist aware of the band and signed them.

The album Bloodthrone was released on August 19 and August 23, 2011 in North America through the label. A music video was also shot for the song The Day We Died .

style

The style of the band is described as a mixture of Thrash and Death Metal, whereby the songs are also designed a bit progressive. The band is compared to other bands like Gojira, Hacride and Samael. The band itself describes their music as "Atmospheric Thrash Metal".
