Minuscule 70 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), ε 521 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 186 sheets of parchment (28.5 × 17.7 cm). Using paleography , the manuscript was dated to the 15th century. The handwriting is complete.
description
The code contains the text of the four gospels . It was written in one column with 23 lines each. It contains Latin κεφαλαια, Greek κεφαλαια and τιτλοι.
The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type . Aland placed it in Category V a. It belonged to the text family K x .
history
The manuscript was written in Paris between 1491 and 1494 for Guillaume Budé . The code was examined by John Mill . Gregory compared them in 1883.
The code is currently in the Cambridge University Library (Ll. 2.13) in Cambridge .
