Minuscule 72 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), ε 110 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 268 sheets of parchment (25.2 × 20 cm). Using paleography , the manuscript was dated to the 11th century. The handwriting is complete.

description

The code contains the text of the four gospels . It was written in one column with 22-24 lines each and contains Epistula ad Carpianum , lists of the κεφαλαια, images, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, and τιτλοι, ammonian sections (Matthew 360, Mark 240, Luke 342, John 232), the Eusebian canon , signatures and στιχοι (in the Gospel of Mark).

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type . Kurt Aland placed it in Category V a. He belonged to the text family Familie Π .

The manuscript was written in Syria or Palestine.

The code was examined by John Mill , Johann Jakob Wettstein and Johann Jakob Griesbach . Gregory created a collation in 1883 .

The Code is in the British Library (Harley 5647) in London .
