Minuscule 87 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), C L22 ( von Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 231 sheets of parchment (36.5 × 25.7 cm). Using paleography , the manuscript was dated to the 11th century. The handwriting is complete.

description

The manuscript contains the text of John's Gospel with a katene . It was written in one column with 22-23 lines each. The manuscript contains prolegomena, Eusebian tables, synaxarion and images.

Kurt Aland did not place the Greek text of the code in any category .

history

The handwriting, like minuscule 129, belonged to Nikolaus von Kues . She came from Constantinople and came to Trier .

It was examined by Balthasar Cordier, Bernard de Montfaucon , Johann Jakob Wettstein and Johann Martin Augustin Scholz . In 1884 Gregory looked for this manuscript in Trier und Cues, but could not find it.

The codex is in the library of the Cusanus pen (vol. 18) in Bernkastel-Kues .
