Minuscule 89 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), ε 184 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 173 sheets of parchment (25.5 × 17.6 cm). The manuscript is dated to 1289 or 1290 by its colophon . It is complete.

description

The manuscript contains the text of the four Gospels . It was written in one column with 30 lines each. The manuscript contains Epistula Ad Carpianum , Eusebische tables, Prolegomena, tables of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonianische sections (Matthew 359, Mark 241 - 16:20, Luke 342, John 239), the Eusebischen canon , lectionary markings and incipits.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type . Kurt Aland placed it in Category V a.

The text contains a large number of corrections and some unique variations of the text.

history

In 1728 Damianos von Sinope gave the manuscript to Augustin Gabriel Gehl in Jena.

It was examined by Gehl and Christian Friedrich Matthäi .

The codex has been in the university library in Göttingen since 1773 (Cod. Ms. theol. 28 Cim.).
