Minuscule 94 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), O 31 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 328 sheets of parchment and paper (24.3 × 18 cm). The manuscript was dated to the 12th and 13th centuries using paleography . The handwriting is complete.

description

The manuscript contains the text of the New Testament other than the Gospels . The order of the books is: Acts of the Apostles , Catholic Letters , Pauline Letters (Hebrews, 1 Timothy) and Revelation of John .

It was written in one column with 22 lines each (38 lines for comment). The manuscript contains scholia on Acts and letters, Prolegomena on Paul's letters and Andreas ' commentary on the Apocalypse.

Kurt Aland placed the Greek text of the Code in Category III ; "However, the Paulines and the Apocalypse are clearly below". According to David Alan Black , he represents the Alexandrian text type in the Apocalypse.

history

The manuscript was acquired from Pierre Séguier (1588–1672).

It was examined by Bernard de Montfaucon , Johann Jakob Wettstein , and Henri Omont . Herman C. Hoskier collated the text of the Apocalypse.

The code is in the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Coislin Gr. 202.2) in Paris .
