Minwer al-Meheid

Minwer al-Meheid is a Saudi engineer who specializes in contemporary Islamic art and architecture. He is director of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought (Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought) in Amman , Jordan , and is known for the restoration of the famous Minbar of Saladin (Salahuddin), in 2007 in the Al- Aqsa Mosque was brought back after the original minbar was destroyed by arson in 1969.

He teaches as a professor at the World Islamic Sciences and Education University (WISE) in Amman , Jordan, founded in 2008 .

He studied Civil Engineering (civil engineering) at the California State University, Chico and later acquired his PhD in proportional system in Traditional Islamic Arts ( proportional systems in the traditional Islamic arts ) at the Prince's Foundation of the University of Wales .

He oversaw the facility of the College of Traditional Arts and Sciences at Balqa University in Salt, Jordan, which trains students in the traditional arts.

In 2008 he was one of the delegation participants of the 2nd seminar of the Catholic-Muslim Forum .

In the listings of the Prince al-Walid-bin-Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding of Georgetown University and the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center of Jordan , he is listed as one of the 500 most influential Muslims.

He is one of the Fellows of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought (Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought).
