Mirabaud is an international banking and finance group headquartered in Geneva . It was founded in 1819 and gradually developed into the third largest private bank in the city. Led by six partners, Mirabaud is essentially active in the following three areas: investment advice , asset management and brokerage .

history

The Geneva-based private bank Mirabaud & Cie was founded in 1819 and is one of the oldest banks in Switzerland. The family business played a key role in the establishment and development of the Swiss financial system. In 1857 the bank co-founded the Geneva Stock Exchange, the first in Switzerland.

In 1973, more than a century later, she did pioneering work in Switzerland for the investment form of hedge funds. In 1985 Mirabaud opened its first foreign representative office in Montreal and strengthened its presence in London in 1990. The first office in Asia opened in 1997 in Hong Kong . A year later, in 1998, the company increased its presence in Switzerland with the opening of its first branch in Zurich.

2001 Mirabaud Asset Management strengthens its teams in London and Geneva. In the same year, the LPP Gestion SA group creates liability management services for pension funds. In 2003 the group increased its presence in the EU, Switzerland and the surrounding area, in particular through the opening of a branch in Paris, the purchase of Banque Jenni & Cie in Basel (2004) and the opening of a further branch in Dubai (2007) East.

In 2010 he bought the Spanish group Venture Finanzas and opened further branches in Barcelona, ​​Valencia and Seville.

With the establishment of Mirabaud Asset Management (Europe) SA in Luxembourg in 2011, where a new bank (Mirabaud & Cie (Europe) SA) was founded in 2014, Mirabaud centralized the management of its investment funds. A year later, the group announced the acquisition of two further banking licenses in Spain and France.

In 2014, the group changed its legal structure from that of a limited liability partnership to that of a corporate partnership. For the first time the group publishes its financial results

Mirabaud is in the legal form of a limited partnership . The headquarters of Mirabaud et Cie Privatbank is in Geneva, Switzerland. However, the group has additional branches in Basel and Zurich as well as throughout Europe (London, Luxembourg, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Valencia, Seville and Milan) and worldwide (Montreal, Hong Kong, Dubai).

Sponsorship

Since 2005 Mirabaud has been the main sponsor of the Bol d'Or Mirabaud , the longest sailing regatta on European inland waters, which takes place annually on Lake Geneva .
