Miriam Block

Miriam Block (born July 2, 1990 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). She is a member of the Hamburg citizenship during the 22nd electoral term and spokeswoman for the Federal Working Group on Science, University and Technology Policy of the Greens . Her political focus is on science policy and feminism.

Life

Block was born in Hamburg, grew up in Jarrestadt and lives in Hamburg-Harburg . She is completing a master's degree in psychology at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and the University of Hamburg .

politics

Miriam Block was elected to Hamburg's citizenship on February 23, 2020 and is primarily a political advocate for queer feminism , anti-fascism and climate justice .

Block has been the spokesperson for the state working group on higher education and science policy since December 2015, was spokesperson for women's affairs and an assessor on the state board from June 2017 to April 2019, and has been spokesperson for the federal working group for universities, science and technology policy since May 2019.
