Henry fire

Henry Feuer (born April 4, 1912 in Stanislau , † February 9, 2011 in West Lafayette , Indiana ) was an Austrian-American chemist and university professor.

Henry Feuer studied chemistry at the University of Vienna and received his doctorate there. He emigrated to the USA and in 1943 went to Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana for a post-doctoral degree . There he became Assistant Professor in 1947 and Full Professor in 1961.

His research area was in particular the chemistry of organic nitro compounds .
