NGC 1119 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 192 million light years from the Milky Way .
The object was discovered on October 17, 1885 by the American astronomer Francis Leavenworth .
