NGC 1095 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Whale south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 287 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 110,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy NGC 1101 .
The object was discovered by Édouard Stephan on December 11, 1876 .
