NGC 1093 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation Triangulum at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 241 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
The type IIP supernova SN 2009ie was observed here.
The object was discovered by Édouard Stephan on December 6, 1879 .
