NGC 1075 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Whale south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 348 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1074 , NGC 1081 , NGC 1105 , IC 1840 .
The property was discovered by Francis Preserved Leavenworth on November 28, 1885 .
