Émile Jung
Émile Jung (born April 2, 1941 in Masevaux , † January 27, 2020 in Strasbourg ) was a French chef .
Career
Jung's father was a chef and owned the hotel and restaurant L'Hostellerie Alsacienne in Masevaux. In 1965 he met his wife Monique, who graduated from a hotel management school in Strasbourg and worked as a restaurant owner. In 1966, Jung's restaurant L'Hostellerie Alsacienne was awarded a Michelin star .
In 1971 they bought the Au Crocodile restaurant in Strasbourg, which was awarded one Michelin star in 1972, two in 1975 and three in 1989. From 2003 it was only two stars.
In June 2009 Jung sold the restaurant to Philippe Bohrer .
