NGC 1094 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 289 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 110,000 ly. Together with PGC 10560 , it probably forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair .
The galaxies NGC 1087 , NGC 1090 , NGC 1104 , IC 264 are located in the same area of ​​the sky .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on November 7, 1785 .
