NGC 1125 is a lenticular galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 144 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 75,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 1114 .
The object was discovered on October 6, 1785 by William Herschel .
