Miriam Frenken (born September 20, 1984 in Düsseldorf ) is a German canoeist .

Career

Miriam Frenken first appeared in canoe racing in 2000 when she won the silver medal at the German championships in the youth class. In 2003 he was nominated for the German National Canoe Racing Team . In the following years she won several U-23 runner-up European titles. A highlight of her sporting career was winning the runner-up world title 1000 m K4 at the 2006 Canoe Racing World Championships in Hungary , together with Carolin Leonhardt , Tanja Schuck and Silke Hörmann .

From 2007 Frenken also started in the canoe marathon discipline . In addition to several German championship titles in the single long distance, she won gold at the 2010 Marathon World Cup in Týn, Czech Republic .
