Miriam Yung Min Stein (* 1977 in Seoul , South Korea ) is a German journalist and author . She grew up with her adoptive parents in Osnabrück .

Life

In 1995, she graduated from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC, with a high school degree . She then studied dramatic writing at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York . She later switched to screenwriting at UCLA . From 1997 to 1999 she lived in London and worked a. a. for Dazed & Confused Magazine . In 1999 she completed an internship at the German Playboy . She also worked as a copywriter for commercials, among others. a. Coca-Cola , and music videos, etc. a. for Maximilian Hecker . In 2008 her first book Berlin - Seoul - Berlin was published , in which she deals with her adoption and her origins. She also stars in the play Black Tie by Rimini Protokoll , which premiered in 2008.

Miriam Stein lives in Berlin today and writes for Brigitte and the Süddeutsche Zeitung , among others .
