Mirjalol Qoʻshoqovich Qosimov ( Uzbek Миржалол Қосимов , Russian Мирджалол Касымов Mirdjalal Kasimov ; born September 17, 1970 in Tashkent ) is a former Uzbek football player and current coach .

Kasimov played for Pakhtakor Tashkent ( Uzbekistan ), FK Dinamo Minsk ( Belarus ), Alania Vladikavkas , ( Russia ), Krylya Sovetov Samara (Russia), Al Shabab ( United Arab Emirates ) and FK Mashʼal Mubarek (Uzbekistan) during his active career . In 2005 he ended his active sporting career, but remained in professional football. Between 2008 and 2010 and since 2012 he has been the coach of the Uzbek national soccer team , and he also coaches the capital city club Bunyodkor Tashkent .

Sporting successes

In 1987 he was U-17 world champion with the Soviet national team, and a year later U-18 European champion. In addition, he was Uzbek champion in 1998 and 2002, Russian champion in 1995 and champion of the Asian Games in Hiroshima in 1994 with the national team of Uzbekistan.

In 1994 he was voted the best midfielder in Asia ; 1993, 1998, 2001 and 2004 Uzbekistan Footballer of the Year .
