Mirjam Novak
Mirjam Elisabeth Novak (born January 16, 1985 in Nuremberg ) is an actress of Croatian-German origin.
Life
In 2001 she moved to Los Angeles to complete her training at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute there, which she graduated in 2004. She then returned to Germany and began studying at the Humboldt University in Berlin , which she completed in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in history and English.
In Germany she was first seen in the German television series 112 - You save your life (as Tara Zenner) and file number XY . The films Apology (as Judy), Bauhaus Broken Wings (as Ellen Schuster) and Der Bau (as waitress) were shown at international film festivals. Since her role in Ron Howard's Inferno , Mirjam Novak has increasingly appeared in international productions. She played Ron Howard's series Mars (Nat Geo Channel, SKY), BBC's The Last Kingdom and CBC's X Company, among others . At the end of 2016 she starred in the remake Papillon, directed by Michael Noer .
Mirjam E. Novak also works as a screenwriter. Her short film series In Search of Sallah , directed by Gero LangHeinrich, was shown on a regional Bavarian broadcaster.
In May 2009 she was one of 16 finalists from over 34,000 applicants worldwide for Tourism Queensland's competition for the best job in the world . She then toured Australia for almost three months blogging about her experiences. She also appeared in a number of commercials for Tourism Queensland and worked for the company as an “ambassador” in Germany.
