Nikolai Rynin ( Russian Николай Алексеевич Рынин ; born December 11, jul. / 23. December  1887 greg. In Moscow , † 28 July 1942 in Kazan ) was a Russian professor , aerospace engineer and author in the field of aviation and aerospace and Pre-astronautics . Along with Konstantin Ziolkowski, he was one of the Soviet space pioneers.

Life

Before Rynin began researching aviation and manned space travel in 1906, he worked as an engineer in track and civil engineering. Rynin taught as a professor at the Saint Petersburg Railway Institute . During his research in the field of aerospace, he also worked as an airship and airplane pilot . Rynin member was the in Breslau founded the Association for space travel .

The crater of the same name on the moon is named after Rynin .

Works

In an issue of the magazine “Былое” (Past) in April 1918, Rynin published Nikolai Ivanovich Kibaltschitsch's theory of propelling manned spacecraft with black powder. From 1928 to 1932 he wrote the nine-part encyclopedia Межпланетные сообщения (Interplanetary Flights and Communication). For a long time it was the largest and most extensive of its kind.
