Jefim and Miron Cherepanov
Yefim Alekseyevich Cherepanov ( Russian Ефим Алексеевич Черепанов * 1774 , † 1842 ) and his son Miron Cherepanov Yefimovich ( Russian Мирон Ефимович Черепанов * 1803 , † 1849 ) were Russian inventor and mechanical engineers .
The Cherepanovs worked in the Nizhny Tagil factories .
The heavyweight of their inventions were steam engines . Among them was the first steam locomotive in Russia, with a payload of 3.3 tons and a maximum speed of 13 to 16 km / h.
