Miroslaw Uryga

Mirosław Uryga (born February 7, 1962 in Nowa Ruda ) is a former Polish cyclist .

Athletic career

In 1986 he was a participant in the UCI Road World Championships , but retired in the individual race . He competed twice in the International Peace Tour, in 1987 he was 23rd, in 1988 he was 16th. In 1986 he won the points classification in the domestic Tour of Poland , won a stage and was third in the overall classification when Marek Kulas won .

In 1989 he became a member of the first Polish professional cyclist group Exbud Kielce , which was led by Ryszard Szurkowski . At the UCI Road World Championships in the same year he was eliminated from the professional race. He was unable to assert himself as a professional driver and ended his career after just one season.
