Miroslav Horníček

Miroslav Horníček (born November 10, 1918 in Plzeň , † February 15, 2003 in Liberec ) was a Czech actor , writer , director , visual artist and theater theorist.

Life

1955 to 1961 he was partner of the actor Jan Werich in the ABC theater in Prague. However, his greatest popularity brought him television appearances. In 1967 he took part in the avant-garde Kinomat project by the authors Alfréd Radok and Vladimír Svitáčka at the World Exhibition in Montreal . In theater and films he was a partner of Jiří Suchý , Jiří Šlitr , Miloš Kopecký , Tomáš Sláma , Igor Šebo , Pavel Bobek and Pavel Dostál .

He published impressions of the world exhibition in the feature pages of maple leaves (Javorové listy), in the literary newspaper (Literární noviny). He is the spiritual father of cultural projects. Horníček also created surrealist collages.
