Miroslav Koníček

Miroslav Koníček (born April 18, 1936 in Prague ) is a former Czechoslovakian helmsman in rowing who won two Olympic medals.

Athletic career

At the European Rowing Championships in 1959 , the German eight won ahead of the boat from Czechoslovakia and the Soviet eight. In the following year, the German boat won the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome , behind the Canadians the Czechoslovak eighth in the line-up Bohumil Janoušek , Jan Švéda , Jiří Lundák , Václav Pavkovič , Jan Jindra , Luděk Pojezný , Josef Věntus , Stanislav Lusk and helmsman won Miroslav Koníček the bronze medal.
